Hey Mike, Hope you are doing well. My wife Lisa and I continue to enjoy your music. We first saw you in the Endangered Species and later at the Cat'sCradle in the early-mid 70's. Thanks for the gift of your music. Hope to catch you at a concert soon.

I am looking for a copy of Rock'N Rye. Can anyone tell me where I could find it?
Your help is appreciated.

The Enquirer song was something along the lines of "The Truth Will Set You Free"... I think. I seem to recall a few verses. How about Wexford Woman?

I became a fan in 1978 when a student at Carolina. I remember a time after graduation when a friend and I drove down to a show you were doing in Columbia, SC. Stupidly, we did not consider that it would be sold out. We were standing outside, bummed out, when you and Zan McLeod came in. You took us in with you and sat us on the corner of the stage! Class act! Now, I have been in California for 15 years and miss your music. Glad to see you are still performing!

Hi Mike!
Been a long time since I last saw you. I am in Denver now with the other twin sister (not the one that came to the show with me in 97 at the Rialto). Sur would be nice to find out that you were coming here to play Fiddlers Green!
Wishng you the best!

Some of the fondest memories I have of my childhood is my father and I listening and singing along with Mike Cross. My father learned to play his music and we would sing all day long. Great times.

I have loved your style and music for many years. I first saw you at a Bluegrass festival in California, when my kids were babies and now their out on their own. I wish I could see more of you as I have been unable to see you in quite a while. Your style along with the story telling is rarely seen for todays generation. I wondered if one day you may consider making a DVD as I know there have been others who have recorded you at the festivals so that we might be able to show the wonderful talents you have and also an art that seems to be fading from the sight of future generations.

May you and yours continue to have a wonderful life.

My husband coordinated your concerts for the food bank that were held St. Patrick's Day in Durham. We missed those fun evenings when we moved to Oregon. We're back in NC and hoping to catch a show soon--already got the kids hooked on the music!

Mike, dude, you taught me to respect musicians. I was in charge of conerts in Bama a billion years ago and produced you a couple times. More important, i learned to respect musicians listening to you and getting to know you. Roll Carolina Crimson.

Hey Mike! I've been a fan of yours for quite a few years, and always see you when you come to Charlotte, and I get a kick out of introducing your music to people who have never heard you before.

I have a question for you...

I may be wrong, but years ago in concert, I believe you did a song about sitting on the toilet reading The National Enquirer.

I'm trying to find that song. I've googled it, youtubed it, yahoo'd it, and I can't find it.

Was it you? Do you know what song I'm talking about? Can you help?

THANKS!

I first saw Mike in high school when her performed with the NC symphony in Fayetteville. Over the years, I have seen him since in Raleigh, Black Mountain and on PBS. His music has kept me awake as I looked toward the Carolina sky as I drove home to see my family. Keep up your great work Mike..many a tarheel grad has you on his mind as he travels home from the cold dark north...

I have been a fan for almost 30 years.I remember seeing Mike at the Redneck Saloon in Greenville N.C. in the Very early 80s. I just love his music. I have learned to play many of his songs (I have played guitar since I was 10) and the joke at our local folk club open mike night when I get up there is....Will it be Mike Cross or Jimmy Buffet? Thanks Mike for your music......Dave

30 years ago you weren't so old... neither was I. It's good to re-discover your music all over again. I hope I get to see your concert sometime.

Mike, I remember seeing you at a small club in Bryn Mawr, Pa. called "The Main Point". My wife and I worked there at the time and I just thought your show was tremendous. Course this was back in the late 70's early 80's. Glad to see you are still recording and touring. I hope you get to Boston soon. Would love to see you in person, again. Let me know if you are heading to the Northeast.
Many thanks

I think this marks 30 years that I have been following your career. I first saw you at the City Stage in Greensboro in 1978. I was surprised to see your exposure to the Western United States on a trip there a few years ago. Obviously your talent has no boundaries. You have definately left a smile on a lot of faces and it's a priviledge to have enjoyed your music throughout the years. Of course, homegrown is always better.

Take care,

Mike

I have loved your music for a long time now.I haven't seen you play anywhere lately but I still love your sound. I have a picture of you and my son when he was about 3 or 4 when you played at the Asheboro Zoo. He is now 15 and a freshman in high school. He loves music as well. He is in the marching band and the concert band. He will be in the Jazz band next year. His musical preference is the 60's music. He loves the Beatles, he does like some of today's music too. He has gotten me turned on to Gnarls Barkley. I love the way they sound as well. You on the other hand are a rare breed and I love to hear your songs.

Got to thinkin about long ago '70's Saturdays in Chapel Hill - Football, Clarences in the late afternoon, and the old Cat's Cradle - you coming up from Atlanta to do three sets and a late night somewhere. Joyce and I still get out the old records sometimes - Leon McDuff, Tombstone Grinder, The Scotsman, Elmer Turl. Still remember something you did called Panama Express and how you asto projected performers into your body - and how they would do well to astro project yours into theirs. Hope to see you in NC sometime soon.
