On At Large In The World, Mike brings his live performance energy into the studio and demonstrates his range as a writer and musician.

The CD is a blend of dynamic acoustic styles including folk, blues and country rock, as well as three fiddle tunes he wrote which have an Appalachian/Celtic feel. There are cuts which use only voice and guitar; others have a bigger sound including bass and drums.

As you would expect, the songs tell great stories. Some are humorous, some are serious, but whatever the style, every cut has a spirited drive that carries the listener into the music and right through the heart of the story.
